With the rapid development of new urbanization, the functional attributes and structural characteristics of the human settlement environment in traditional villages are facing numerous uncertainties, and it is especially important to explore the logic action for their renewal and evolution. From the perspective of action science theory, we analyzed the coupling relationship between organic renewal of the human settlement environment in traditional villages and action logic expression, and constructed the logical framework for action and practical path for organic renewal. The study shows that: (1) There is an obvious elemental coupling relationship between the three elements of the action logic expression "subject, occasion and action" and the "subject of action, field of action and action itself" of organic renewal of the human settlement environment in traditional villages. (2) Taking the perspective of multiple subjects as the starting point of the study, drawing on Marxist theory, we constructed an action logic framework from the four dimensions of demand, system, time, and space, and sorted out the inherent logic law of organic renewal of the human settlement environment in traditional villages. (3) Taking the logic of demand coordination, the logic of system mutual promotion, the logic of time control, and the logic of spatial support as the base point, the optimization path of "coordinating the demand and synergy of the subject's governance, upgrading the system and reconfiguration of the subject's relationship, controlling the time sequence of renewal and balancing the rhythm of renewal, and optimizing the space of renewal and interacting with the capital of the field" has been formed. This study aims to explore the future evolution of the logic of action of organic renewal of the human settlement environment in traditional villages, to form an action path characterized by objectivity, mobility and regularity, and to provide reference experience and decision-making basis for the theoretical framework and innovative path of organic renewal of the human settlement environment in traditional villages in China.

Traditional villages have the dual attributes of historical cultural heritage and real human environment, and the development of villages oriented purely on value protection often neglects the modernization and development demands of multiple subjects, which makes it difficult to weigh the relationship between the protection and development of traditional villages. In order to improve the scientific and orderly spatial renewal of traditional villages, this study is based on the scientific connotation of organic renewal and extends its theoretical vein, puts forward the innovative concept of "spatial renewal sensitivity" as a measure to characterize the possibility of spatial renewal activities, and constructs the spatial protection value, spatial renewal demand, spatial renewal difficulty, and the spatial protection value, spatial renewal demand, and spatial renewal difficulty. The evaluation system of spatial renewal sensitivity of traditional villages containing spatial conservation value, spatial renewal demand and spatial renewal difficulty is constructed, and the idea steps and technical framework for the evaluation of mathematical and theoretical methods such as fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, linear weighting method, entropy weighting method, and hierarchical analysis method are condensed. Combined with the typical traditional villages, the specific application practices are carried out for the landscape ecological space, street and alley space, mansion space, and node space of the villages. The study shows that the evaluation method can quantitatively assess the renewal possibilities of various types of space in a relatively scientific way, and has the rationality of operability, wide applicability and support for "decision-making and deployment before renewal" and "orderly implementation after decision-making", which provides a theoretical and methodological basis for the reasonable renewal arrangement of traditional villages. It provides a theoretical and methodological basis for the rational renewal arrangement of traditional villages.

Under the context of growth boundary constraints, a large number of idle rural houses in traditional villages serve as a key factor in transforming existing spaces into incremental resources. Effectively analyzing, identifying, and understanding the status, background, characteristics, and implementation pathways of idle rural houses can provide targeted approaches for activating and utilizing these existing spaces, thus facilitating the connotative development of traditional villages and resolving the multifaceted issues of environmental improvement and resource expansion for achieving the goal of common prosperity. Taking Yaxikou village, Songyang county as a typical case, this paper employs qualitative research methods and introduces the scene theory to construct a framework for analyzing the evolution, revitalization, and pathway to common prosperity of idle rural houses in traditional villages. This framework delves into the characteristics of the evolution scenarios of idle rural houses in the case village and explores the activation mechanisms, strategies, and pathways to realize the ideal scene of common prosperity in traditional villages. The study finds that: (1) The dynamic advancement of the revitalization scenarios of idle rural houses in Yaxikou village has gradually revealed the integrated development scenario of traditional villages. (2) The orderly and effective utilization of idle rural houses gradually drives the material prosperity and spiritual wealth of traditional villages, continuously promoting the reform and improvement of systems, ultimately leading to the realization of the ideal scenario of common prosperity. (3) The continuous interaction of the three elements of "function-space-population" within the scenario of idle rural houses in traditional villages is correlated with the five dimensions of "system-ecology-economy-society-culture" of common prosperity, achieving a transformation of development momentum from external to internal and from weak to strong. This also promotes the transition of traditional villages from exogenous policy-driven protection to endogenous shared ownership, governance, sharing, and common prosperity with the participation of multiple stakeholders.

The rapid urbanization has profound impacts on traditional villages, and clarifying its rigid constraints and activation drivers for preservation and utilization is of significant theoretical and practical importance. This paper takes traditional villages in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) as the research object, supported by long-term tracking investigations and return visits. Based on the dialectical relationship between the impacts and opportunities brought by rapid urbanization, the paper attempts to construct a targeted research framework for preservation constraints and activation utilization, revealing the major challenges, progress, and development prospects of traditional village preservation and utilization in the PRD. The results indicate that: (1) The challenges of preservation and utilization are mainly reflected in the alienation and damage of material elements such as the overall pattern and settlement space, as well as facing constraints such as numerous historical issues and high input costs. (2) Rapid urbanization also serves as an important opportunity for the revitalization and development of traditional villages in the PRD. The expansion of urban functions, population aggregation, and consumption potential have promoted new progress in preservation and utilization, including "remediation" based on government investment, "self-rescue" assisted by multiple subjects, "salvation" under the intervention of social enterprises, and "rescue" seizing policy opportunities. The paper also combines land spatial planning, new urbanization, rural revitalization, and other aspects to forecast the development prospects of traditional village preservation and utilization in the PRD in the New Era.
