The ground water resource in the leaky aquifer is evaluated by the Galerkin's finite element method on condition that the water table of the above recharge aquifer changes with pumping. The predication of the ground water head and influence on the old well field after the new wells come into operation is done by the method too. The guarantee of pumping rate is estimated by the method of water balance in phreatic aquifer. The results show that the quantity of leakage is 85% of pumping rate in the leaky aquifer. It is the reason why this area is rich in ground water resource. It is possible to establish a new well field the yield of which is 50-51 ×10³m3/d.
